Meet Ben
Innovation is important, but only when it truly adds value.
The bridge between hardware, software, and strategic IT
I am an experienced infrastructure architect specializing in software-defined networking, with a passion for open source. My background forms a bridge between hardware, software, and strategic IT, allowing me to design solutions for complex infrastructure challenges. Throughout my career, I have learned to critically assess the promises of marketing-driven solutions. I challenge hype-driven technologies and advocate for thoughtful and flexible solutions based on technology and organizational needs. Innovation is important, but only when it truly adds value.
When I am not analyzing the latest technological trends, I spend my time experimenting with open-source tools (sometimes with the occasional failure), automating my home, and coaching teenagers through my local scouting group. Additionally, I train young leaders within the regional scouting organization and can often be found at the hacker collective Milliways, where I surround myself with like-minded tech enthusiasts at (inter)national hacker events.
